Sorry about the recent journal entries being so short and I am currently riding the “Ride the Rockies” event in Colorado and I don't have any computer access at the moment. Hoping to write more next week when I get to a regular computer.  All I can say is that the ride is challenging, the scenery is fantastic, the other riders are all a fun group who enjoy having a good time as much as the cycling, and the ride itself is extremely well supported.  After the ride I'll be heading to Denver for a few days and then hitching a ride back to
Phoenix where I'll start pedaling again on my final leg to San Diego.

Day 91: June 21, 2007
Ride the Rockies Day 5
Glenwood Springs to Aspen, Colorado

Taking a break with some of my new cycling friends on Day 4 of 'Ride the Rockies'. This was one of my favorite days of the 7-day ride.

Near New Castle, Colorado

Tom and I stand alongside two Colorado State troopers. These guys did a great job of keeping heavy traffic away from cyclists during the ride.

Riding through the canyons near Glenwood Springs, Colorado. There is a bike trail which runs several miles along the Colorado River through these canyons.

Braving the elements, I defiantly raise the Chicken Fajita of Triumph (with extra onions) atop the 12,095 foot Independence Pass, east of Aspen, Colorado
